Concrete Restoration
Though concrete is considered
a durable material, it can succumb to wear and tear over time. With
consumers across the United States dealing with damaged concrete surfaces due
to: constant weather changes, de-icing agents, chemicals, grease, oil and more,
the ability to restore and repair the concrete surface is essential.
Uses Typical areas include parking decks, driveways, sidewalks, parking lots or any horizontal concrete surface requiring repair of spalled areas, low spots, etc. Our system is applied with a bond coat using squeegees- then doubled back with a broom finish. In areas requiring leveling or patching of deeper areas, the first application can be placed in the low areas and screeded to the proper elevation. A second application utilizing a broom finish is then placed to cover repaired areas for a consistent finish. The quartz aggregate in the system gives a slip resistant finish and is usually covered with pigmented solid based sealer to penetrate and protect against staining. In areas that are subjected to heavy traffic or forklift traffic, a non-rusting aluminum oxide aggregate can be blended into the cementitious part of the system. Features Exterior or interior application; traffic bearing; the ability to slope towards drains; filling of spalls and low areas; slip/skid resistance; abrasive resistance; freeze-thaw resistance; excellent bond, flexural, and tensile strengths that are superior to concrete; high impact resistance; available with color integration, greater resistance to salts and attack from acids and alkali. |
